Now based in South Australia Tom and his partner Sasha operate a successful horse starting and training business, about one hour north of Adelaide in Allendale North. Apart from horse training Tom is passionate about the sport of rodeo giving up much of his time to help keen and enthusiastic cowboys and cowgirls get into and improve on their skills in rodeo.

Tom has been successful throughout his rodeo career competing all over Australia, America and Canada. Tom has competed at the Australian National Finals Rodeo in 4 events (Bull Riding, Bareback, Steer Wrestling and Rope and Tie) and is the only cowboy to have won money in every open event in a season.

Tom also works in the film and television industry. Growing up with Jim who worked on programs such as McLeod's Daughters, The Lighthorsemen, Quigly Down Under and many other legendary Australian productions, it was natural Tom would follow in his footsteps. Tom and his Dad took their team of horses to work on the award winning Sweet Country with Bryan Brown and Sam Neill. Tom also did the stunt work and had a small acting role. In 2018 he worked on High Ground, shot in Arnhem Land, and doubled for Simon Baker as well as doing the horse work.
